Happy Turkey Day
Well, it's that time of the year again, where a bunch of us American folk (and non-American folk who happen to have some American friends) gather around the ol' dinner table for some turkey and the giving of thanks.
Me and Brandon are heading down to Los Angeles for Thanksgiving early in the morning (We're leaving at 7:00 a.m. and I'm not in the slightest bit sleepy. Yay.) to join my soon-to-be brother-in-law and his family. I'm especially keen to see my sweet little niece-in-law too, who's around 4 months old now. It's bizarre, but I think I may be getting the hang of this whole family thing. My own family experience hasn't been all that rosy, but I guess fate decided to give me another chance at it. Weird how that works.
I'll be packing my various gadgetry along with me, because I'm such a geek, and because I tend to get bored without something to occupy my time. The Powerbook is coming of course, so is the Palm (recently installed HandRSS on it, which may come in handy in times when I can't get my hands on the laptop), and definitely the iPod. No, I can't just relax on holiday. In fact, I don't think I can relax without the Internet. It's unhealthy, I know.
A few things I'd give thanks for: Friends, family, love, and health. Everything else is second-place.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Remember, forget about that silly diet just for one day -- we're talking about the one major eating holiday of the year, people! Consume all the fat and sugar you want! And to all the non-Americans out there, happy Thursday (or Friday, depending on your time zone).
Gobble, gobble.
